Affiliate Program Faq

Last Updated: October 10, 2026

This FAQ explains the Save Your Life Affiliate Program in plain language. The Affiliate Agreement and the Affiliate Program Terms are the governing documents. If this FAQ differs from either of them, they control, and nothing in this FAQ adds to anyone’s entitlements.

What is the Save Your Life Affiliate Program?

The Program lets approved Affiliates promote the documentary Save Your Life using links that are unique to them. When someone buys an eligible item through an Affiliate’s link and the purchase meets the Program Terms, a paid Affiliate earns a commission. Some participants choose to take part without being paid. Affiliates are independent promoters. They are not employees or agents of Save Your Life, and Save Your Life does not promise any sales or income.

How do I apply, and when can I start promoting?

Apply at https://saveyourlifemovie.firstpromoter.com/signup. Standard-tier applications may be approved automatically at the 22% commission rate. You may start promoting after your approval is confirmed by email or in the Affiliate Center, using your Approved Channels and following the Program’s rules. The 44% Premium tier requires separate written approval through an Individual Designation. After approval, follow the instructions to access your links and materials at https://saveyourlifemovie.firstpromoter.com/login. Complete the required account and payment details before receiving commissions.

Does it cost anything to be an Affiliate?

No. There is no fee to apply or to take part, and we do not charge inactivity or maintenance fees.

Who can be an Affiliate?

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is older, or be an entity that is organized, registered and in good standing and acts through an authorized representative. You may not be on a U.S. government restricted-party list or be located in a country or territory that is the target of comprehensive U.S. sanctions. Worldwide, except where participation is prohibited by applicable law or U.S. sanctions. Each account may be used by one person only, and you may not direct promotion to anyone under 18.

What are the three participation levels?

• Standard (22%). The default for every approved Affiliate.

• Premium (44%). Available only if Save Your Life specifically approves you and gives you a written designation. You cannot choose it for yourself, and it is never payment for recruiting anyone.

• Unpaid (0%). Available only if you choose it and accept a written acknowledgment that you will earn no commission. Choosing Unpaid status does not affect commissions you earned earlier.

A change in your level applies only to purchases made after the change takes effect.

What can I earn a commission on?

Commissions are paid only on purchases of eligible items that Save Your Life is actually offering. The eligible items are listed in Schedule 1 to the Affiliate Agreement and are:

• The Save Your Life Kit (the film to own, the extended interviews, the audiobook, Melanie Marden’s Taking Your Power Back playbook and one month of membership)

• Save Your Life to own and stream (“Own the film”)

• The Save Your Life audiobook, narrated by Melanie Marden

Premiere tickets are not eligible unless your Individual Designation expressly provides otherwise. Standalone membership and recurring membership renewals are not eligible unless we designate them in writing. The first month of membership included in the Kit is part of the eligible Kit purchase. Schedule 1 also provides for film rentals, commentary products, an All Access Pass and merchandise only if these are later offered for sale; none of those additional offerings is currently available. Anything not listed in Schedule 1 is not eligible. We do not pay commission on anything for recruiting other people to the Program.

How is my commission calculated?

Your commission is your rate multiplied by the commission base. The commission base is the amount we actually receive for the eligible items, after any discount, less refunds, cancellations and chargebacks, taxes, shipping and handling, and the payment processor’s fees for that transaction. We do not deduct overhead, advertising or any other cost. For illustration only: if we receive $100 for an eligible item and the payment processor’s fees are $3, the commission base is $97, so a Standard commission is $21.34 and a Premium commission is $42.68.

How does Save Your Life track purchases?

When someone clicks your link, our tracking platform (FirstPromoter) records the click. A purchase is credited to you only if it is completed within 60 days after the click, and if more than one Affiliate’s link was clicked, the purchase is credited to the last click recorded. Tracking depends on the buyer’s browser and device settings. If cookies are blocked or deleted, or the buyer switches browser or device, a purchase may not be credited to you, and we do not guarantee that every purchase you influence will be credited. Tracking does not continue indefinitely.

When and how will I be paid?

Each commission is held until 90 days after the end of the calendar month in which the purchase is completed and paid for (the hold exists because purchases can be refunded). We pay once a month, within the first five business days of the month, the commissions that became payable before that month began. We pay in U.S. dollars by PayPal only, and only when your payable balance is at least $100. If it is less, it carries forward until it reaches $100. We will not take a fee out of it or let it expire.

What happens if a purchase is refunded?

If a purchase is refunded, cancelled or charged back, the related commission is reversed. If you have already been paid, we may deduct it from future commissions or ask you to repay it. Premiere tickets are excluded from commissions unless your Individual Designation expressly provides otherwise.

Do I need to give tax forms?

We may ask for a tax form, such as an IRS Form W-9 or an applicable Form W-8, and we may hold your payment until we receive it. We will email you if we need one. You are responsible for your own taxes. PayPal’s own processes do not replace our requirements or yours.

What if my PayPal address is wrong or out of date?

If a payment cannot be delivered, we will email you within ten business days to ask you to correct it, and we will pay you in the first payment run after you do. You do not lose a commission because your details were wrong. Please keep your PayPal address current; you can update it in the Affiliate Center under Settings.

How can I see my results?

The Affiliate Center shows each attributed transaction, its status (pending, payable, paid or reversed) and the commission amount, and gives you a monthly statement. Purchases on the site appear as soon as FirstPromoter records them, and membership payments are added once a day.

What if I think my commission is wrong?

Email saveyourlife444@gmail.com within 90 days after the transaction or payment first appears in your reports, with any evidence you have, such as the order reference, your link or a screenshot. We will acknowledge your message within five business days and answer within 30 days. We will correct any demonstrable system error whenever we learn of it.

Where can I promote?

Only in the channels we have approved: your websites, social-media accounts, email list, and any other channel we approve in writing. Tell us which channels you use when you apply, and ask us before you add another. You may not use pop-ups, spam, bulk unsolicited messages, paid advertising or text messages unless we approve in writing, and you may not use sites with prohibited content.

Do I have to disclose that I am an Affiliate?

Yes. If you can earn a commission, you must say so clearly every time you promote, for example: “I may earn a commission if you buy through this link.” Put the disclosure close to the link and the recommendation, and where people can see it without clicking “more.” In videos, say it and show it on screen; on livestreams, repeat it so that people who join late see it; in podcasts, say it aloud. A profile bio, a string of hashtags, the word “affiliate” on its own, or a platform’s tool on its own is not enough. If you are an Unpaid Affiliate, do not describe yourself as paid, but do disclose any other connection, such as free tickets or products, a gift, or a work or personal relationship with the film or its team.

What can I say about the film?

Be accurate and honest. Say only what you actually think and have experienced, and never invent a review, testimonial or story. The film is a documentary about health, so do not say or suggest that it, or anything in it, diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition or will work for anyone, do not exaggerate anyone’s story, and never suggest that someone should stop or delay medical treatment. Use the approved descriptions we provide, and keep the short medical notice that comes with any clip.

Can I use AI to make or change promotional materials?

Not for the film or our materials. You may not use AI to create, alter or imitate the film, its poster, trailer, score or audio, or the images, voices or likenesses of the people involved, and you may not create synthetic endorsements, without our prior written approval. Routine resizing, cropping and accurate captions are fine. You may use AI for your own original content if it is accurate and follows these rules.

Can I edit the promotional materials?

You may post the materials as supplied, resize or crop them to fit a platform, and add accurate captions. Any other edit needs our written approval. Materials are in the Affiliate Center. The press kit is at https://saveyourlifemovie.com/press.

Can I recruit other Affiliates or use a helper?

You may not recruit or pay others to join the Program, and we pay nothing for recruiting. A person who wants to take part must apply separately. If you want an employee or contractor to run your channels, you need our written approval first, and you remain responsible for what they do.

Can I send emails or text messages?

You may email only people who have opted in to your own list (double opt-in), and each email must be truthful, identified as an advertisement, include your postal address and a working opt-out, and honor opt-outs within 10 business days. You may not send text messages or automated calls unless we have authorized the campaign in writing and you have each recipient’s documented written consent.

What happens to customer information?

We give Affiliates limited attribution and payment reports. The Affiliate Center shows referred customers’ email addresses only in partially masked form. Masking does not make that information anonymous, and it may still be personal information. You may use any customer information made available to you only as the Agreement allows. You may not try to identify customers, reconstruct their contact details, contact or market to them, profile them, or sell the information.

Can Save Your Life change the Program?

Yes, but with at least 30 days’ notice by email and in the Affiliate Center (shorter only in the limited cases the Agreement lists). A change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect, and never reduces commissions you have already earned. If you keep using your links after the effective date, you accept the change. If you do not agree, you may end your participation at any time.

How do I close my account?

Email saveyourlife444@gmail.com and say that you want to close it. We will still pay any undisputed commission you earned before closing, after the hold described above, even if it is less than $100, and we do not charge a closing fee. We may close an account that has had no activity for 12 months after giving 30 days’ notice.

How do I reset my password or change my login email?

To reset your password, use the password-reset link on the login page at https://saveyourlifemovie.firstpromoter.com/login, and a reset link will be emailed to you. To change the email address you log in with, email saveyourlife444@gmail.com.

How do I report a promotion that looks misleading?

Email saveyourlife444@gmail.com with a link or screenshot. We review reports and can require an Affiliate to correct or remove content, or suspend or end the Affiliate’s participation.

Where can I read the legal terms and get help?

Read the Affiliate Agreement https://saveyourlifemovie.com/affiliates/agreement and the Affiliate Program Terms https://saveyourlifemovie.com/affiliates/terms. For questions about commissions or the Program, email saveyourlife444@gmail.com. For account or login help, email saveyourlife444@gmail.com.
