Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026 | Last revised October 24, 2026
Save Your Life LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“SYL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides this notice for the website at saveyourlifemovie.com (the “Site”) and the related online purchases, membership, Affiliate program, premiere giveaway, directory applications, and screening requests we operate (together with the Site, the “Services”). It explains what information we collect, why we use it, who receives it, and how you can exercise choices. To contact us about privacy, email support@saveyourlife.movie.
This notice describes our data practices; it is not a blanket authorization to process personal information. Where law requires consent for marketing, optional tracking, sensitive information, or a particular disclosure, we request that consent separately. In this notice, “Affiliate” means a person who promotes the Services for commissions, “Affiliate Documents” means the Affiliate Agreement, program terms, and any individual designation that govern that person’s participation, and “Giveaway Official Rules” means the official rules for any giveaway or sweepstakes we run. Independent services linked from the Site have their own privacy notices.
Information you provide
Depending on the activity you choose, we collect the following categories of information. Where California or another state’s privacy law applies to us, we note that law’s category labels in parentheses; using those labels does not mean that every obligation under those laws applies to SYL. The categories are: contact and account information (identifiers and customer-record information), such as your name, email address, login information, and any billing or delivery details needed for an order; purchase information (commercial information), such as the product, amount, payment status, and access entitlement; giveaway information, including first and last name, email address, state of residence, and adult-age confirmation; and information you include in support messages, directory applications, screening inquiries, or public community posts.
For approved Affiliates, we also collect identity, contact, promotional-channel, account, tax-documentation, and PayPal payment information needed to administer participation, attribution, reporting, and payments. We request tax information only when needed. We do not ask giveaway entrants for Social Security numbers; we request a potential winner’s tax information only if legally required for the prize.
Payment-card information is entered with and processed by our payment processor, Stripe, under its own safeguards and notice. We receive the transaction information needed to process and fulfill your order. Do not email complete card numbers, passwords, medical records, or government-identification documents unless we have asked for necessary information through an appropriate secure channel.
Technical information and sources
When you use the Services, our hosting and service systems may receive your IP address, approximate geographic location inferred from your IP address, browser and device information, time of access, pages or content requested, referral information, error logs, and account or transaction identifiers. We obtain information directly from you, automatically from your interaction with the Services, and from providers involved in an order, membership, referral, ticket purchase, or other activity you request.
FirstPromoter records Affiliate-link clicks and attributed purchases. The current attribution window is sixty (60) days after a qualifying click, and the last qualifying Affiliate click recorded controls competing referrals. Attribution depends on browser and device settings and is not guaranteed across devices or when tracking is blocked. The attribution window is the period during which a click can be credited to an Affiliate. It is not the retention period for referral, account, or transaction records.
We identify our currently known significant providers and their functions in the “Providers, recipients, and public information” section below. Our other significant providers and their functions are: Vercel, website hosting and server functions; Supabase, our database and file storage, hosted in the United States; Resend, delivery of transactional email such as confirmations, receipts and purchase delivery; Kit, our email newsletter platform; Anthropic, which generates replies in the Site’s help chat from the text you send; ElevenLabs, which transcribes voice messages you record in the help chat and reads replies aloud; Bunny, streaming of purchased video; Google (Gmail), the inbox where our team receives screening requests, directory applications and help-chat questions handed to a person; and YouTube, which plays the video on our press page only after you press play. We do not use a third-party analytics provider; our own analytics are described below. The Services do not ask about your health, and the help chat does not accept health questions or keep health details. If you type or say something about anyone’s health in the help chat, a recorded voice message is first sent to ElevenLabs to be transcribed, the text is sent to Anthropic only so that the message can be recognized, and the chat answers with a fixed reply that points you to your doctor and to our team’s email address. That message is not stored in our database, not emailed to our team, and not used for any other purpose. Other help-chat conversations are stored in our database, and a question that needs a person, such as a problem with an order, is handed to our team by email together with any email address you give. Our own analytics run only if you accept them; they record which pages are visited, including pages about health topics, and keep that information in our own database; they are not linked to your name, email address or account; they do not send it to any advertising or analytics company; and they do not record what you type or say in the help chat. FirstPromoter’s attribution script, which runs only if you accept it, records visits that arrive through an Affiliate link. Your newsletter membership and the products you buy are recorded in Kit and could suggest an interest in health topics. You can use the Site without the help chat, and you can turn off its voice feature.
Why we use information
We use the relevant information to operate accounts; process and deliver purchases and membership access; respond to requests; evaluate directory and screening applications; administer the giveaway; determine and pay Affiliate commissions; provide reports; prevent fraud and misuse; secure and troubleshoot the Services; keep required business, tax, and consent records; handle cancellations, refunds, and disputes; and comply with legal obligations.
We send promotional email only with the consent or other permission that applicable law requires. Giveaway participation does not require marketing enrollment. We do not treat agreement to contractual terms as authorization for promotional text messages, optional tracking, or processing that requires separate consent. This notice does not authorize promotional text messages; if we begin to send them, we will obtain the prior express written consent that applicable law requires. We use only information reasonably needed for each purpose, and we do not use private inquiries or applications as public testimonials without separate permission.
Providers, recipients, and public information
We disclose information needed for hosting, communications, fulfillment, payment, membership, attribution, security, professional advice, and other Services functions to the providers performing those functions, under appropriate contractual and legal restrictions. Our currently identified providers and their functions are: Stripe, Site payment processing; Circle, membership; FirstPromoter, Affiliate link tracking, attribution, and reporting; PayPal, Affiliate payouts; Eventbrite, premiere ticket transactions; and Instagram, the supplemental announcement of a giveaway potential winner’s first name, last initial, and state. Each may also process information under its own notice when it provides independent services directly to you.
Affiliates receive limited transaction and commission reports that may include referred customers’ email addresses in partially masked form. Masking does not necessarily make information anonymous, and those reports may still be personal information. Affiliates may use the reports only for permitted accounting and program purposes, and they may not attempt to identify customers, reconstruct their contact details, contact or market to them, profile them, or sell the information. The Affiliate Documents also require Affiliates to maintain appropriate data-protection safeguards. Affiliates are independent program participants. They are not corporate affiliates of SYL and are not part of SYL.
We may disclose information to advisers, authorities, successors, or parties to legal proceedings when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud, or protect rights and safety. A merger, acquisition, or similar transaction may involve a transfer of information, subject to applicable law and the restrictions in this notice; we will require as a condition of any such transfer that the successor honor this notice’s commitments or provide any notice and obtain any consent that applicable law requires before materially changing data practices. Public posts and approved directory listings are visible to their stated audience and may be copied by others. Private applications are not automatically public.
We do not sell personal information for money. The Services load no advertising or social-media tracking technologies, and we do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. FirstPromoter receives information about visits from Affiliate links and about resulting purchases so that Affiliates can be credited, and Affiliates see referred customers’ email addresses only in partially masked form. We use FirstPromoter only to credit Affiliates, not for advertising, and its script runs only if you accept “Affiliate referral credit.” You can withdraw that choice at any time in Cookie settings, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a refusal. If our practices change, we will update this notice, provide any required opt-out mechanisms, and honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals before engaging in any such activity.
Cookies, tracking, and choices
We use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential technologies support checkout, access to the film you bought, security, and remembering your cookie choice. They are a cookie that keeps your film access on your devices (syl_watch, one (1) year), a cookie that stores your cookie choice (syl_consent, one (1) year), and, if you use the help chat, a conversation key kept in your browser’s storage. Where applicable law exempts a particular strictly necessary use from consent requirements, we load these technologies without separate consent; whether an exemption applies depends on the applicable law and the particular use.
- Affiliate attribution technologies (provided by FirstPromoter) record Affiliate-link clicks so that referrals and commissions can be credited. We do not treat them as essential merely because they are useful to our Affiliate program. FirstPromoter’s script loads only after you accept “Affiliate referral credit” in our cookie banner or Cookie settings. It sets two cookies, _fprom_tid and _fprom_ref, which last sixty (60) days. If you reject them, you can still buy; the Affiliate who sent you may not be credited.
- Analytics technologies: We use our own analytics, not a third-party analytics provider. They run only after you accept “Site analytics” in our cookie banner or Cookie settings, and never when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. They record the pages viewed (without the rest of the web address), approximate country, device and browser type, the referring site, any campaign tags in the link, and the buttons and links clicked, using a cookie (syl_sid, thirty (30) minutes) and an anonymous visitor identifier kept in your browser’s storage. They do not record what you type or say in the help chat. The information stays in our own database and is deleted after ninety (90) days. They are not linked to your name, email address or account, including when you sign up or make a purchase.
- Advertising, social-media, and other third-party tracking technologies: We do not use advertising or social-media tracking technologies, such as advertising pixels. Other third-party technologies on the Services are: FirstPromoter’s attribution script, on every page, only after you accept it; Eventbrite’s ticket widget, on the pages that sell premiere tickets, only after you accept “Ticket window,” which opens Eventbrite’s checkout inside our page (otherwise the ticket buttons open Eventbrite’s own website); Stripe’s hosted checkout pages, when you pay; YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player, on the press page and only after you press play; Bunny’s video player, on the watch page for purchased access; and Circle’s site, when you follow a membership link. Each of these may set its own cookies and receives information about your visit under its own notice. Before payment, checkout takes place on the Site, where the FirstPromoter script runs only if you accepted it.
Browser controls may also block or remove cookies, which can affect functionality and whether an Affiliate receives credit. Rejecting or withdrawing optional cookies never prevents you from completing a purchase or watching what you bought.
Your choices. When you first visit, a banner offers three equally available choices: “Accept optional cookies,” “Reject optional cookies” and “Manage preferences.” Optional technologies stay off until you choose, and closing the banner or continuing to browse is not consent. Manage preferences lists each optional category with its provider, purpose and cookie duration, and lets you turn each one on or off. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal and you have not made a choice, we treat it as a rejection of every optional category; you can still opt in under Cookie settings. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. We keep a record of each choice (a random identifier, the choices made, the version of our cookie notice, the button used, the time and your browser type) to show what you chose. When you switch a category off, we delete the cookies and browser storage that category set on the Site and reload the page so its scripts stop; cookies that Eventbrite or another provider set on its own website must be removed through your browser. Where applicable law gives you a right to consent to, or to opt out of, optional technologies or processing, we honor that right in the manner the law requires. Essential functions, and processing that the law permits or requires, may continue after an opt-out or a withdrawal of consent.
Do Not Track. Our own analytics do not run when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, even if you accepted them; other features of the Services do not change in response to it. The third-party technologies listed above receive information about your visit and may set their own cookies; their own privacy notices describe whether they collect information about your activities across other websites.
Giveaway information
The premiere giveaway collects the information described in its Giveaway Official Rules to receive and verify entries, send entry confirmations, run the drawing, notify and verify the potential winner, provide the prize, and keep compliance records. Clicking the emailed confirmation link is required to make an entry eligible for the drawing. This verification step is separate from optional marketing enrollment. Existing subscribers must enter affirmatively and receive no advantage.
We announce only a potential or confirmed winner’s first name, last initial, and state of residence, as the Giveaway Official Rules provide; we do not publish email addresses or other contact information. We may ask the potential winner and guest for identity or venue-credential information reasonably needed for the prize. A winner who gives us a guest’s information should do so only with the guest’s permission, and we use that information only to provide the prize. We keep entry and drawing records for at least ninety (90) days after the winner is determined, and longer where the law requires, subject to applicable rights. Our actual deletion practice and other lawful retention may differ from the ninety-day minimum. The Giveaway Official Rules control promotion-specific administration and do not authorize unrelated data uses or override statutory privacy rights.
Health information and sensitive submissions
The Services provide documentary and educational content, not healthcare or medical advice. Content is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Do not send patient records, diagnoses, treatment details, sensitive health stories, or another person’s private information through an ordinary form or community post, which are not designed to receive them. If you choose to include sensitive information in a message, we use it only to handle that request, subject to any additional consent and restrictions that the law requires, and it is not automatically licensed for public use. We do not use a sensitive private submission as a medical story, testimonial, likeness, or advertisement without your separate express permission. We do not create a physician-patient relationship.
We do not seek to collect or infer information about anyone’s health. The help chat neither asks for nor keeps health details, our forms do not ask about your health, our own analytics are not linked to your identity, and the Services use no advertising or social-media tracking technologies. If that ever changes, we will obtain any consent that Washington’s My Health My Data Act or a similar law requires, and publish any required consumer health data policy, before the new processing begins. We do not use the information described in this section for advertising and do not share it with advertising tools. We obtain any consent that applicable law requires before processing sensitive information or consumer health data.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the activity and the disclosed purposes, to satisfy recordkeeping obligations, to resolve disputes, or as otherwise required by law. Retention depends on the record, whether the account remains active, tax and accounting duties, legal holds, security needs, and applicable deletion rights. We remove or deidentify information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful backup and retention requirements.
We retain information by category, based on the following criteria. Transaction, order, and tax records are kept for as long as accounting, tax, refund, dispute, and legal duties require. Account information is kept while your account is active and afterward for as long as needed for security, disputes, and legal compliance. Support messages and directory and screening applications are kept for as long as needed to handle the request, any resulting relationship, and related disputes. Help-chat conversations, and the questions the chat hands to our team, are deleted automatically twelve (12) months after their last message, unless we must keep a particular conversation longer to meet a legal obligation, to resolve a dispute, or for another documented reason. If you share sensitive information in the help chat by mistake, email support@saveyourlife.movie and we will promptly delete it. Affiliate records are kept while the Affiliate participates and afterward for as long as needed for commission reconciliation, tax, and legal duties; the sixty (60) day attribution window does not govern, and is not a deletion deadline for, referral records. Giveaway entry and drawing records are kept as stated in the giveaway section above. Consent and opt-out records, including the minimum suppression information needed to honor an unsubscribe, are kept for as long as needed to demonstrate and honor your choices and to comply with the law. Technical logs are kept for as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. Backups are retained under our backup constraints and are overwritten or deleted on their own cycles, and we do not promise a universal backup-deletion deadline. When you unsubscribe from marketing email, we remove you from active marketing and keep only the suppression information needed to honor your request.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information, and we restrict access to persons who need it for authorized functions. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We respond to security incidents and provide the notifications that applicable breach-notification law requires, within the time that law requires. Please report a suspected privacy or security issue to support@saveyourlife.movie without including sensitive details in an initial unsecured message.
Marketing choices
Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or email support@saveyourlife.movie, to stop promotional email. We honor requests within the period applicable law requires and, for commercial email subject to the CAN-SPAM Act, no later than ten (10) business days. Each commercial email includes a valid physical postal address as the law requires. Withdrawal does not affect giveaway eligibility or cancel a paid membership. Necessary order, security, account, and prize-administration messages are not promotional and may continue; we send no promotional content after you opt out.
Access, correction, deletion, and other rights
You may request access to your information, a copy of it, correction, or deletion by emailing support@saveyourlife.movie. Where applicable law grants you these rights, we honor them as the law requires. Separately, where you are not covered by such a law, we may accommodate similar requests where reasonably practicable and subject to lawful exceptions and verification; that voluntary accommodation does not reduce any right the law gives you. Additional rights may apply under your jurisdiction’s law, including portability, restriction, withdrawal of consent, objection to direct marketing, opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, limits on the use of sensitive information, and review of certain automated decisions.
Provide enough information to identify your relationship to SYL and to describe the request; an account is not required. We request only the reasonable verification or authority information needed for the request and use it only for that purpose. Authorized agents may act with appropriate permission where the law permits. We handle requests within the deadlines that applicable law requires, and we explain any lawful denial or extension. We do not charge a fee except where the law permits and we explain it in advance, such as for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests. We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. A deletion request may affect information needed for an active order or account; we explain any legally permitted exception rather than treating all transaction information as permanently exempt.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal, email support@saveyourlife.movie with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will review and respond within the deadline that applicable law requires and, when required, identify the relevant regulator’s complaint channel. You may contact your regulator directly; an internal appeal does not waive any other remedy. Withdrawing consent affects future processing covered by that consent and does not invalidate lawful processing already completed.
Children and international users
The Services are not directed to children under thirteen (13), and account and transaction features are for adults at least eighteen (18) years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13), or from children under any older age that applicable law specifies. We do not knowingly sell or share children’s information for advertising. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so that we can promptly investigate and delete it as applicable law requires.
We process information primarily in the United States and in the countries where our providers operate. Where European, United Kingdom, or other privacy law applies to our processing, that law may require a lawful basis for each purpose, specific safeguards for international transfers, and the appointment of a representative or a data protection officer. We have not appointed a representative in the European Union or the United Kingdom. You may complain to your local data-protection authority where that right applies.
Updates and contact
We update this notice as our practices and applicable requirements change, by posting a new “Last Revised” date, keeping the original effective date, and giving any additional notice or obtaining any consent that applicable law requires. Posting a revised notice does not itself supply consent to processing. We will not use information we have already collected in a materially different way without the additional notice or consent that applicable law requires for that change.
For privacy questions, requests, or appeals, contact Save Your Life LLC by email at support@saveyourlife.movie. The Terms of Use at https://saveyourlifemovie.com/terms govern contractual matters but do not limit your privacy rights under this notice or applicable law.
